Did you receive a blue postcard from Washington County?
At this time each year, the Washington County Assessor's Office mails postcards to residents whose properties will be visited for a review. Per statute, the Assessor's Office is responsible for reviewing a property every five years to make sure the information being used to establish market values is accurate and up to date. All appraisers will have Washington County issued identification, and will be photographing front exteriors of each home. If there are questions regarding your property, a yellow notice will be left on your door with an appraiser’s contact information. This reassessment may include a request to review the interior of your property if so the interior review would take approximately ten minutes. Please see our Appraisal Topics if you have more questions.
